ðą Mini Guide: How to Know if Therapy Is Right for You
Gentle questions for self-reflection, clarity, and care.

ð 1. Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or low—more days than not?
Therapy might be helpful if you are:
- Always tired or anxious, even when nothing “big” is happening.
- Feeling numb, disconnected, or like you are “just surviving.”
- Experiencing patterns (in relationships, work, or self-talk) that feel hard to break.
ðŠī You don’t have to hit rock bottom to reach out. Therapy is for building, not just fixing.
ð§ 2. Are your thoughts constantly spinning?
If you find yourself:
- Overthinking every decision
- Worrying about the past or future
- Being hard on yourself (even silently)
…a therapist can help you untangle those thoughts and find a calmer inner voice.
ðŽ 3. Do you struggle to talk to others about how you really feel?
Sometimes we tell ourselves:
- “I should be able to handle this on my own.”
- “Others have it worse.”
- “No one would get it.”
In therapy, you get a confidential space where it’s okay to be real. You don’t have to filter or fix anything for anyone.
ð 4. Have you experienced grief, trauma, or major life changes?
Loss, identity shifts, burnout, breakups, chronic illness, family conflict, parenting—therapy offers tools and support to process what life throws at you, at your own pace.
ð§ 5. Are you curious about yourself?
Even if nothing feels “wrong,” therapy is a place to explore:
- Who you are beneath roles and expectations
- What you want from life and relationships
- How to grow, heal, and thrive—on your terms
ðŋ Therapy is a space for self-discovery, not just crisis management.
âĻ What Therapy Isn't
- A place to be judged
- A sign of weakness
- Only for people with diagnoses
Therapy is a brave, nourishing act of self-respect.
ðĪ How to Begin
You don’t have to know everything before starting. A first session is simply a conversation to explore what’s going on and what support could look like.
If you’re feeling even a little curious, it might be worth a try.
